The lineup of Apple TV+ shows coming in the near future now includes Now and Then, which just got a May debut date. The thriller series is about a group of college friends who reunite 20 years after one of their group was killed.
The show is set in Miami, and was shot in Spanish and English.
Now and Then moves between the present and the past
In the upcoming series, the lives of a group of college best friends are forever changed when one of them is killed during a celebratory weekend. Now and Then takes up the group 20 years later with the remaining five reluctantly reunited by a threat that puts their lives at risk.
The cast includes Oscar nominees Marina de Tavira and Rosie Perez, Ariel Award winner José María Yazpik, Goya Award winners Maribel Verdú and Soledad Villamil, Emmy winner Željko Ivanek, Manolo Cardona, Jorge López, Alicia Jaziz, Dario Yazbek Bernal, Alicia Sanz, Jack Duarte and Miranda de la Serna.
Now and Then was created by Ramón Campos, Teresa Fernández-Valdés and Gema R. Neira. Campos and Fernández-Valdés serve as showrunners, and the series is written by Neira and Campos with their team.
The first three episodes of the eight-episode series will premiere globally on Apple TV+ on Friday, May 20, 2022. They’ll be followed by one new episode every Friday.
The Apple TV+ spring lineup
Those looking for Apple TV+ thrillers won‘t have to wait long: Suspicion starring Uma Thurman kicks off February 4. It’ll be followed on February 18 by Severance, another thriller.
On a lighter note, the second season of the musical comedy Central Park premieres on Apple’s streaming service on March 4. But later that month will come the drama WeCrashed starring Jared Leto and Anne Hathaway, soon followed by the multi-national drama Pachinko.
And these are just the ones we know about now. It’s likely Apple will announce the premiere dates for additional shows and films in the coming weeks.
