Samsung is back at it again. The company’s latest ad takes a dig at Apple and the lack of a foldable device in its product portfolio.

The 31-second ad mocks Apple by highlighting how its customers are still waiting for it to adopt cutting-edge features.

Samsung mocks Apple customers for waiting

Titled “On the Fence,” the advert shows a customer sitting on the fence of Apple’s walled garden and looking at Samsung’s side. An Apple employee then tells him he can’t sit on the wall. To this, the man replies that “on the Samsung side, they have folding phones and epic cameras.”

Hearing about the foldable phones, another potential Apple customer joins the conversation. To prevent them from leaving, the Apple employee says, “We’re waiting for all that to come over here.” When asked why the wait, the employee responds, “Because that’s what we do. We wait.”

This is not the first time that Samsung has poked fun at Apple—the company has been doing so since as far back as 2012. In September, the Korean giant released an ad ahead of the iPhone 14 launch mocking Apple’s lack of innovation. It highlighted the Galaxy Z Flip 4’s form factor and the S22 Ultra’s 108MP rear shooter.

Apple’s foldable iPhone is not coming anytime soon

Samsung currently dominates the foldable market with its Galaxy Z Flip and Fold lineup of products. The company has a headstart in the foldable segment, though it does not necessarily have the best folding phones on the market.

Reports indicate Apple is working on a foldable iPhone, but there’s no clarity on its launch timeframe. Reliable Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo believes the Cupertino giant is actively testing a 9-inch foldable. However, it won’t launch until at least 2025. So yes, Apple customers will have to continue waiting to get their hands on a folding iPhone.
