Basketball season starts today, and that brings the launch of NBA 2K23 Arcade Edition. In the new version, players can take on “Greatest of All-Time” NBA players. That includes Michael Jordan, Shaq and more.
The game is now available on a range of Apple devices for subscribers to Apple Arcade.
Shoot some hoops in NBA 2K23 Arcade Edition
The original NBA 2K21 Arcade Edition debuted in spring 2021 and gets a fresh update at the beginning of each season. That includes new players and additional features.
Start by creating a young rookie – choose height, wingspan, playstyle and more. Then pick a position and join your favorite NBA team.
There’s “Greatest” mode where players complete challenges and earn points to see who’s really the best finisher, shooter, play-maker or defenseman in the NBA. And, for the first time, NBA 2K23 Arcade Edition lets players take on greats from the 76th NBA season like Devin Booker, Kevin Durant and Luka Doncic, or NBA legends such as Michael Jordan, Shaquille O’Neal and Dirk Nowitzki.
In Quick Match mode, players pick their favorite NBA team and play against rivals from around the NBA in 5v5 basketball games. Or choose Blacktop Mode to pit favorite players to play street basketball in 1v1, 3v3 or 5v5 matches.
Two players can go head to head on one screen in 3v3 Blacktop Mode. Or play real-time PvP basketball in online matches.
NBA 2K23 Arcade Edition lets also players go in a different direction with Association Mode. Become the general manager and head coach of your favorite NBA franchise and build a dream team.
Hit the court now
NBA 2K23 Arcade Edition is now in the App Store. There are versions for iPhone, Mac, iPad and Apple TV. Game controllers are always an option for any of these platforms.
Those who jump into the game before October 28 receive exclusive Devin Booker Nike Kobe 4 Protro MyPLAYER gear.
It joins over 200 other titles in Apple’s gaming service playable for a single $4.99-per-month subscription. And a family can share a subscription. New games appear almost every week.
No Apple Arcade offering includes irritating requests for in-app purchases or questionable loot boxes – these are banned.
